This week sees the launch of the new e-learning training tool from INNDUCE.me, which helps employees learn to think, act, and decide like real innovation experts. “Innovation can be learned, you really don't have to be born with innovation skills.”

The new INNDUCE.me tool offers e-learning on an individual basis, using successful real life innovation cases that participants now must solve themselves. “The exercises constitute a learning opportunity in four steps,” explains managing director Peter Daels. “First, participants must describe in an open answer how they would come to a solution. Secondly, they must estimate the effectiveness of their planned actions. Thirdly, they discover the solution that innovation experts have used in this case and what steps they have followed in the process. And finally, they get their original solution back and have to describe it again, but with the know-how they just gained. Through this repetitive case-based approach, trainees really learn to think like an innovation expert.”

Innovation dream teams

The training module is fully online and available through a learning portal, where companies can buy individual credits for their employees. Employees can then follow the training according to their own time availability and work on their innovation skills. “When these employees then work together with complementary profiles, strong and complementary innovation dream teams can be built to innovate faster, smarter & more efficiently,” explains Peter Daels. “This is how you get from creative idea to new products, processes, or business models faster. We call that: unleashing the innovation potential from within.”

The world's first assessment tool

The training tool is not the first solution that INNDUCE.me has introduced to the market. “We have previously developed an assessment tool, in collaboration with the University of Ghent,” says Peter Daels. “More specifically, the world’s first and only research-based assessment tool that objectively and scientifically reveals the innovative thinking within organisations. Today, large customers such as Bekaert, DEME, Latexco, Reynaers Aluminium and Agristo make use of it, although SMEs can also do so. This new tool is the perfect complement: once the innovation potential has been mapped, you can start training that innovative thinking. You really don't have to be born with innovation skills, you can perfectly develop and train them yourself, and in that way create value for the organisation.”
